2 Cor. 3:18 “But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are CHANGED into the same image from "glory to glory”, even by the Spirit of the Lord.”
I was watching the story of a little girl who had Down’s Syndrome who loved butterflies because they transform from an ugly cocoon into a beautiful insect. She thought she was not considered pretty on the outside, but because Jesus was in her heart, she believed she was beautiful on the inside.
Changed, transformed, transfigured - those are powerful, exciting words and they describe what will happen to us when we spend time beholding the Lord in word and prayer. As we spend time renewing our minds with the Word of God, our outer being will be transformed like a caterpillar. Instead of conforming into the image of the world, you’ll begin to conform to the image of the reborn spirit within you. Study and mediate on God’s Word and let it change you from the inside out. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind and release the beautiful spiritual butterfly living in you.
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
We need to apply and stand on the Word over the situation we find ourselves in, and not dwell on the circumstances, but on what the scriptures say about it. Refuse to let our thoughts drown out what God is saying.
